Digital transformation is also changing the accommodation & food sector, but despite this, many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are still struggling to develop the digital skills needed to remain competitive in an ever-changing market.
That’s why USMED - Upskilling workers of SMEs with low Digital intensity, a European project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme, is launching an Open Call for Digital Learning Resources.
A shared effort for innovation in VET (IVET and CVET)
We invite VET providers, trainers, and educators from across Europe, Italy, Spain, Romania, Ireland, Germany, Türkiye and Poland, to share or develop Open Educational Resources (OERs) designed to improve digital competences among workers and students in the Accommodation and Food sector.
Your contributions will be included in the ‘USMED Learning Experiences Catalogue’, a collection of free, high-quality teaching materials that we will develop to support digital innovation and the competitiveness of SMEs.
Why take part? By joining the Open Call, you will:
-
Showcase your resources and innovative practices across Europe
-
Support SMEs in their journey towards digital transformation
-
Collaborate with a European network of VET and industry experts
-
Gain recognition, with a certificate of contribution and visibility on the USMED website.
What are we looking for?
We welcome short, engaging, and easy-to-use learning resources, including:
-
Video tutorials, guides, or practical checklists
-
Case studies or interactive tools
-
Simulations, games, or micro-learning experiences.
Your OERs can address topics such as e-commerce, digital marketing, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud tools, mobile working, or artificial intelligence — all key areas of the European Digital Intensity Index.
Together, we create impact. This initiative is part of USMED’s mission to connect educators, SMEs, and policymakers, strengthening cooperation in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and promoting the exchange of good practices at a European level.
Each submission contributes to a broader goal: to develop tailored learning pathways that make digital education more inclusive, accessible, and effective for the workforce of tomorrow.
